With your hands, quickly work the sponge cake to close the slices together, without letting the ice cream come out and applying light pressure. Then form a ball. Repeat with the rest of the sponge cake slices until 4 balls are signed. Place them in the freezer for at least 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the batter: pour very cold water into a bowl.

Sift the flour with the baking powder directly into the water.

Pour in the seed oil and start mixing with a hand whisk.

Mix the mixture well until you get a smooth, homogeneous and creamy batter.

In a large saucepan, pour the liter of peanut oil, light the fire and bring it to a temperature of 170 ° / 180 ° C.

As the oil reaches the desired temperature, take the sponge-covered scoops of ice cream back from the freezer and dip them, one at a time, into the batter. Turn them over with the help of a spoon to completely cover them.

Dip one ball at a time in the boiling oil.

Fry the ball for 3 minutes and then turn it over to fry it on the other side as well.

Once fried and golden brown, remove the balls from the oil with the help of a skimmer and transfer them to absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

The only flavors not recommended are those with fruit made in water because they would risk melting too quickly compared to the classic ice cream with a milk and cream base.
