Xiaomi is bent on delivering yet another Redmi Note range that takes a day of research to even make sense of. The company is adding a new phone called the Redmi Note 12 Pro, only that it’s limited to 4G speeds and generally bears little resemblance to any of the existing Redmi Note 12 Pros.

The new Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G debuted in Indonesia with a Snapdragon 732G chipset, a 108MP main camera and a camera island reminiscent of the Redmi Note 11 series.

The Qualcomm chipset maxes out at LTE speeds and is nearly three years old at this point, but it’s still quite capable with two big CPU cores running at 2.3GHz. It was previously featured in the Redmi Note 10 Pro and in March 2021 .

The 5,000mAh battery with 67W is also a familiar feature of the Redmi Note range, which spans three generations. The same goes for the 120Hz screen with a single punch hole in the center which is likely a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel. Other specs include 4K video recording, stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack, as well as support for Dolby Vision Atmos.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G will go on sale in May in Indonesia. We will be on the lookout if this exact smartphone will become official in other markets or regions.
