One of the first things Elon Musk did after taking the reins of Twitter was to reactivate the badge system and introduce the $8 per month Twitter Blue subscription (well, $11 per month on iOS and Android due to of the app store rates). However, the current version of Blue only reduces the ads by half. Musk tweeted that there will be a more expensive subscription that won’t show any ads.

How much will it cost? It’s unclear for now, but the CEO isn’t happy with how ads work right now. He says they are “too frequent” and “too big”. Twitter will address both issues in the coming weeks.

There are other plans to improve the Twitter experience. For example, Musk says that right now most users are missing out on “awesome tweets” from people in other countries. The language barrier will be overcome by translate and advise top tweets from other regions (presumably this means translated into English, Musk didn’t go into detail).

Other upcoming improvements include remembering whether you’ve selected the For You or Following tab, and making it easier to bookmark tweets.
