The internet is a wonderful place, and of course, it was only a matter of time before someone started abusing the $3,500 Apple Vision Pro for “testing purposes.” If you have a weak stomach for test blood, you probably shouldn’t watch the video.

Seriously, while it’s definitely not scientific, the video provides some really valuable insights into the overall durability of headphones. First, the good news is that you probably have nothing to worry about with general use. The Vision Pro handled minor bumps and scratches like a champ. Apart from a few scratches on the front glass, the device was overall good and in perfect working order.

However, you should be careful about drops and, surprisingly, not because of the huge curved front glass. As we said, it went well. However, a few drops in one of the Vision Pro’s speakers suffered a catastrophic failure. Apparently the headband area around the speakers and the user’s ears is a weak point. There appears to be a delicate zipper hidden within the area, which sustained some damage in the video and has even started to leak out of the covering material.

The most important thing to note, however, is that the light seal is not securely attached to the headset. It appears to be held only by magnets. This means that you should definitely not grab and lift the Vision Pro by the bright screen, no matter how convenient it may seem. It will come loose and the expensive gadget will fly towards the ground.

However, we encourage you to watch the video until the end as it features some interesting revelations about the front glass of the device. We won’t spoil it, but you might even go so far as to say it’s kind of “optional.”
