The Xiaomi Redmi brand, which operates semi-independently in China, is preparing for its big event tomorrow. The Redmi K60 flagship smartphone series is coming and we know it will have at least two very different looks – one with a blue vegan leather back and another designed to look like carbon.
We’re also expecting a flurry of new devices, including two new wearables – Redmi Watch 3 and Redmi Band 2 – as well as new TWS Redmi Buds 4 Lite earphones.
Furthermore, we are also expecting a completely new Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed smartphone that brings a new chipset, camera and appearance with an elegant mint green color.

The Redmi K60 will have a so-called 2K screen, i.e. 1220p, the intermediate step between QHD and Full HD. The Xiaomi brand has developed an AI algorithm that learns to deliver the best auto brightness over time. The images also reveal that the panel will be flat, but we don’t know if this applies to the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro or any other phone pending an announcement.
There’s also a Sony IMX800 sensor in one (or more) of these phones. It’s a 50MP camera, often found in premium tier devices, and this will be paired with OIS.
Features of the Redmi K60
The Redmi Watch 3 arrives with a 1.75-inch AMOLED screen, which is nearly 15% larger than its predecessor, and will have a brightness of 341 ppi and 600 nits. We can see a single button on the right side, and a teaser has revealed a bright green band option.
Redmi Band 2 offers a 1.47″ display with 76% more touch area than the first Redmi Band. The body is 9.99 mm and will have no physical keys whatsoever. Then there is the Redmi Buds 4 Lite, also translated as Youth, in green and orange to match the style of its young users. Each gem will weigh just 3.9 grams.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed was not mentioned by the company; it was leaked from WHYLAB on Weibo. The new phone will keep the overall design with three cameras on a rectangular island and flat sides, but the Redmi logo makes its way to the top of the back panel.
The phone is expected to keep the overall footprint of the Redmi 12 Pro series but will replace the Dimension 1080 with a Snapdragon 778G chipset. The 108MP is also expected to disappear for a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. It should be priced below CNY 1,699, which is the current cost of a regular Redmi Note 12 Pro.
