Xiaomi is eyeing a sequel to last year’s Redmi A1 with the aptly named Redmi A2. The upcoming budget device got its official images and detailed specs shared ahead of the official announcement by WinFuture.

Redmi A2 will bring a substantially unchanged design from its predecessor with a waterdrop notch screen and a dual camera on the back. What’s new is the chipset: The phone will reportedly launch with MediaTek’s new Helio G36 chipset. The rest of the data sheet is reported by the Redmi A1.

You can expect a 6.52-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which should be expandable. The rear is expected to house an 8MP primary camera and an unspecified secondary AI module. The software side will be covered by Android 13 (Go Edition) while the battery should reach 5,000 mAh with support for 10W charging via the dated microUSB port.
Redmi A2 should be launched in a few weeks for €97. It will be available in black, blue and green colors
