Today Realme presented the 11 series with three models: here we will focus on Vanilla and Pro, the Pro+ will be covered in a separate article. These mid-range products have bold and distinctive designs and are currently priced at just CNY 100 apart (set to grow to CNY 200 after the pre-order runs out).

Realme 11 Pro

The Realme 11 Pro starts at CNY 1,700 ($245/€225/₹20,000) for the 8/256GB base unit (again, this is set to grow to CNY 1,800 after pre-orders). There are also 12/256GB options for CNY 2,000 and 12/512GB options for CNY 2,200. You can reserve a unit today (payment is expected by May 10th), shipments will begin May 15th.

The most distinctive feature of the phone is the back. The large circular camera island does not contain much in the way of content, but with its size and the decorative ring it is definitely an eye-catcher.

And that’s not even the best part, the stripe running down the center along with the decorative stitching on the vegan leather make it look like a premium gaming phone or special edition camera phone rather than the budget mid-ranger it is.

Note that Starry Night Black opts for a more understated look. It’s also thinner (8.2mm vs 8.7mm) and lighter (185g vs 191g). Whichever color you choose, know that they were created by former Gucci print designer Matteo Menotto.

The only notable module on the sizable camera island is the 100MP main camera with an f/1.75 aperture, 26mm lens, and OIS. It can record 4K video at 30fps and is joined by a 2MP macro camera. On the front is a 16 MP camera (82.3°, f/2.45, 1080p @ 30fps).

The front also tries its best to look more premium with a 6.7-inch curved OLED panel. It has FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sample rate (which can momentarily boost up to 1,260Hz). This is a 10-bit panel with HDR10+ support and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. The panel can reach 950 nits of brightness and uses high-frequency PWM for dimming (2,160Hz).

The Realme 11 Pro is powered by the Dimension 7050, a 6nm part that’s an upgrade of the Dimension 1080. While it’s not the fastest chip in this price range, it has plenty of memory to work with: up to 12GB of RAM (more up to 8GB virtual) and up to 512GB of storage. The phone runs Android 13 with Realme UI 4.0 out of the box.

A 5,000mAh battery provides power. It supports 67W wired-only charging, which means it can reach 50% in 18 minutes. The phone features dual super linear spears and is Hi-Res Audio certified (you must use the USB-C port for wired audio, however).

The Realme 11 is smaller and not quite as capable as the Pro, but it’s only slightly cheaper than the Pro. The base 8/256GB configuration is priced at CNY 1,600 ($230/€210/₹19,000) and a 12/256GB option for CNY 1,800. You can reserve a unit today, sales start June 1st.

The design still features the large camera island with a decorative circle and the Summer Orange option features vegan leather. The Star Trail Black drops the leather and instead opts for a brushed texture.

The vanilla phone has a 6.43-inch AMOLED – it’s flat, even if the glass above has heavily beveled edges. It has FHD+ resolution, but only runs at 90Hz refresh and 180Hz touch sample rate (the latter can be increased to 1,000Hz). It’s also an 8-bit panel with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.

The Realme 11 is powered by the Dimensity 6020, which is technically quite new, but is actually a rebranded Dimensity 810 (an older 7nm chip). That said, Realme has been quite generous with RAM with 8GB and 12GB options, and you can get 128GB or 256GB of storage (UFS 2.2). Unlike its sibling, this model also has a microSD slot, so adding more storage is easy. Out of the box, you get Android 13 with Realme UI 4.0.

The size of the camera island is no less impressive than on the Pro, the camera inside drops a notch. It has a 64MP sensor (OV64B40) with an f/1.79 aperture and a 25mm focal length. Basically, there is no OIS. Also, video recording is limited to 1080p @ 30fps. This camera is joined by a 2MP depth sensor, at the front the selfie camera has an 8MP sensor.

The battery maintains the capacity of 5,000 mAh, despite the small size of the phone. Charging power is halved at 33W, so a 0-50% charge takes 29 minutes. Note that the vanilla phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
