The Poco C50 has just become official in India and will go on sale on January 10 in Royal Blue and Country Green. Previously announced as Redmi A1+, the Poco C50 is built around a 6.52-inch IPS LCD with 720x1600px resolution, which refreshes at the standard 60Hz.
The Poco C50 runs Android 12 (Go Edition) with a layer of MIUI for POCO on top. It uses a 12nm MediaTek Helio A22 chipset with 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage expandable through the microSD card slot.
The Poco C50 promises great endurance thanks to a 5,000mAh battery, even if it charges rather slowly at 10W.
There are two cameras on the back, one is a depth sensor, while the other is an 8MP f/2.0 wide-angle camera. There is also a fingerprint scanner on this side. On the front, there’s a 5MP selfie camera.
The Poco C50 features a leather-like texture on the back panel. The phone is resistant to splashes thanks to a special coating.
A couple of models are available on Flipkart – the 2/32GB one is nominally INR 6,499 but will launch at a special introductory price of INR 6,249 and a 3/32GB version which is INR 7,299 but launch at INR 6,999. The first sale is January 10th.
