Today we found out that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will go official at an event in China on March 28th. This will be the world’s first smartphone to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset, which was announced last week. This is by far the highest performing 7-series Snapdragon yet, so the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will definitely be a cut above in terms of raw processing power than any of its siblings.

On its way to launch, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo passed through Geekbench today, managing a single-core score of 1,213 and a multi-core score of 3,972. SoC aside, which we already knew about, the listing confirms that the phone will come with Android 13 on board. The specific prototype that was being tested had 12GB of RAM, though we assume versions with less than that will also be available.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo was also recently certified in China by TENAA, together with MIIT and CCC. These certifications revealed that it supports 67W fast wired charging, just like the Redmi Note 12 Pro.

The Turbo model is said to bring an in-display fingerprint sensor to the Redmi Note family for the first time. Other specific rumors include a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED display, a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 5,000mAh battery.
